The Most Quintessentially Enigmatic Cafes in Bandra

What comes to your mind when someone tells you a very “quaint” café has opened up at a particular place in the city? Aroma of strong espresso? Beautifully done up interiors and people whiling away time talking to each other, gazing out of massive window panes? The café culture in Mumbai has seen a phenomenal change in the last 5 years. With a new café cropping up on every street in the city, cafes have replaced the udipi and successfully so! The food offered being quick, tasty and instagrammable, it not only becomes a favourite among most millennials, but also proves to be a great meeting joint for people from all age groups.

  • Taj Mahal Tea House, Bandra Reclamation

With the amount of places serving great coffee, the city was lacking a place that serves authentic, traditional chai. The classical music that plays at the background, Indian musical instruments and traditional ornaments forming a part of the décor, the place hosts a menu with food and desserts that are also infused with tea. The wide array of teas to choose from and a calming, soothing aura that surrounds the place means all you need is a book for companionship and you are sorted for hours on end!

  • Sequel Bistro, Pali Hill

At the centre of Bandra, lies this organic café that is often frequented by most celebrities with regards to their menu and food options. Nutrient dense foods and specifically high protein food items are a huge hit at this place and with a range of natural smoothies and cold pressed juices, your meal is most likely to be a very appropriately healthy one. The local and imported produce that goes into the making of every dish makes this place a slightly more expensive option.
